The Washington Post Just Published Probably the Most Inaccurate Editorial on Bernie's Campaign So Far

The Post, owned by man worth $53.2 billion, really doesn't like Bernie Sanders.
The Washington Post has been on something of an anti-Sanders kick lately. Its latest editorial, Bernie Sanders’s fiction-filled campaign, is somehow worse than its last one, which derided his single-payer plan in tabloid-like terms. It's entirely predictable that an establishment gatekeeper publication like The Post would not approve of Sanders' relatively radical policy proposals, but the degree to which it keeps offering up hysterical, and often times totally disingenuous critiques, is surprising even by its standards. Let's begin with The Post's first claim:
Mr. Sanders’s tale starts with the bad guys: Wall Street and corporate money. The existence of large banks and lax campaign finance laws explains why working Americans are not thriving, he says, and why the progressive agenda has not advanced. Here is a reality check: Wall Street has already undergone a round of reform, significantly reducing the risks big banks pose to the financial system.

A Message from Congressman Swalwell- and Response

It is difficult to find an honest politician who tells people the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Of course it is not impossible to find one (Bernie Sanders is a good example), but unfortunately they are rare and subject to change. The reason that they can be so outright dishonest is that they don't believe in their constituents' intelligence. Perhaps, some of the people whom they are representing have similar character, but not all are like them, and I dare to say that the majority of people are truthful. I never voted any of the elected officials into their offices and they are representing me without getting any help from me to become an elected officials. Therefore, there is no hard feeling! However, since we they are getting paid to represent me, they have to listen to my voice as well.
When the new restriction for Iranians traveling to the US was discussed behind closed doors, with Obama promising to sign it if it passed both houses, Iranians who became aware of this through NIAC (such as myself) started calling on their senators and representatives. In my case, two of the elected officials in the state I reside did not vote for its passing. The other ones all voted for it and did not respond to my request and others who claimed the same as me. Until today, when I received a response from Congressman Swalwell, as follows:

SALT & PEPPER: CANDIDATES’ NEWS

Donald Trump revealed his support of a new group assembled to protest certain politically motivated groups who have been marching all over the nation in the recent months. This morning, Trump called the group he supported as “White Lives Matter, More”, which he described to have convened as an objection to the new anti-police protests of recent months by those he termed as “terrorist affiliated groups”. He further defined them as a grass roots alliance, organized with his financial backings. Trump will lead this group in a rally which they will start next Sunday in a block on the north of the financial district of New York City. He added that they specifically selected Sunday as the day of their march, in order to respect working people and not to interrupt daily business of financial district employees. In response to the question of the possibility of other racial groups confronting them he replied, “We have already received a permit from the City of New York for this march. We have further asked New York police to assist us by making a ring around our marchers with personnel at least as many as the marchers, and I personally agreed to pay for the additional expenses the department may incur.” When asked about the group’s philosophy he responded: “we are trying to make a point that white Americans were the first to call this land their home by sacrificing their lives in clearing the land off the heathens. Of course, all the newcomers from Europe were welcomed, in order to flourish and build the land as great as it looks today. All other groups are immigrants, and they have to live and work under our leadership.” He concluded by saying that he had invited all major media to cover the march.

Will the U.S. Fall for Saudi Arabia’s Deliberate Provocation in Killing of Shi’ite Cleric?

By Trita Parsi
January 05, 2015 "Information Clearing House" - There should be little doubt that Saudi Arabia wanted to escalate regional tensions into a crisis by executing Shi’ite cleric Nimr al-Nimr. On the same day, Riyadh also unilaterally withdrew from the ceasefire agreement in Yemen. By allowing protestors to torch the Saudi embassy in Tehran in response, Iran seems to have walked right into the Saudi trap. If Saudi Arabia succeeds in forcing the United States into the conflict by siding with the kingdom, then its objectives will have been met.
