Saudi Arabia and Israel are pursuing the
same goals! Both governments support
ultra-right religious doctrines; they have similar gentrification policies
(non-Wahhabis in the case of Saudi Arabia, and Non-Jews in the case of Israel); Saudi
Arabia is a dumping ground for American obsolete and outdated military weapons
and Israel is the conductor of testing new American missiles on Palestinians; in
order to keep the hostility boiling, both governments constantly
antagonize Iranian government’s nuclear ambitions; they both empower Syrian
rebels politically and bellicosely; and both favor the most
fanatic religious dogma such as Al-Qaida and Taliban expanding their powers in the
Middle East. In addition to the similarity in their aims and reasons, sometimes similarity appears in their styles as well. For instance, they both rely on the US government to
pave the road for them. Thus, US government (Democrats and Republicans alike)
support these and similar regimes for their own self-serving reasons. Saudi Arabia is a
milking cow, by providing the US with cheap and abundant oil, and getting paid with
surplus military materials. The Israeli government has financial arms in the US
(such as AIPAC), lobbying every pro-Israeli candidate, from the president down
to the least influential local elected official; groups which are supported in
return by Wall Street. Both Saudi Arabia and Israel are claiming their
territorial hegemony, and for the time being, they are beating the drum of war
against Syria Iran with the same accord. US government, at its weakest financial
and military juncture, is approaching a less confrontational involvement with
Iran and with Syria, with the recommendations of most military leaders. This does
not agree with the original plan of the 21st century for the region (PNAC).
Therefore, Saudi Arabia and Israel are pushing Obama to return to the original
plan of “axis of evil plus two”; meaning the days of invasion of Afghanistan,
Iraq and Libya and continuation of drones and other incursion as in Pakistan,
Sudan, and Yemen, and expansion of war in the region.
For 35 years until 1979, the Shah of Iran
was acting as the gendarme of the region. He had a large stockpile of military
hardware which was used against leftist groups in Oman and Yemen, and any place
in the region where an uprising was formidable. Since 1953, when a US coup d'état toppled the government of the popular prime minister, Mohammad
Mosaddegh in favor of the Shah, he opened his oil pipelines (oil
nationalization was Mosddegh’s plan) to Western oil companies, in return for
military support. Iranian revolution of 1979 not only closed the door on
western oil companies receiving abundant cheap oil from the Shah, it also
denied the US of a rich military surplus customer, while abdicated a powerful
gendarme in the region. Exploration of oil by an American company (ARAMCO=
Arabian American Oil Company) which had started in 1941, proved a vast reservoir
of oil under the sands of Saudi Arabia, making Saudi family the best
substitution for the Shah in 1979. US government replenishes its military
hardware with the new and more advanced weaponry, and sells the surplus to
client states. Countries whose leaders are supported or installed by the US
government and its allies are dumping grounds for such armaments. Considering
that military hardware are the most expensive manufacturing items, the Military
Industrial Complex controlling executive and legislative (and perhaps judiciary) branches of the US government, demands such client states.
Of course, these clients pay for their purchases with nationally owned natural resources.
Of course, these clients pay for their purchases with nationally owned natural resources.
Saudi Arabia has been a monarchy since it was carved
up by the allies in WWI, and as a result of the fall of Ottoman Empire in early
20th century. It is the only country in the world that carries the
name of its monarch/ dictator, Saudi family, on the country’s title. It has the
second largest oil reserve and the sixth largest natural gas reserve in the
world. As it was mentioned earlier, Saudi Arabia is the regional power with the
aid of massive military built up, as well as the regional hegemony. Saudi
Arabia has been supported by every US and British leaders since its inception.
One fifth of the Saudi population is called non-national. These are people from
Philippines, Gulf States, Pakistan, and other countries who have been attracted
to Saudi Arabia's mining jobs. However, they are considered, and
treated as the second hand populace. As a major financial supporter of terrorist
groups (according to a document published by wikileaks, originally authored by
Hillary Clinton), Saudi Arabia is the largest financier of terrorist groups. In
spite of massive unemployment (claimed at 10%) the government spent
$21.3 billion on military expenditures Just in 2005. Fearing a small number of Shi’ite minority who
had shaken Saudi's by several uprisings (brutally put down and everyone suspected was
executed), Saudi government has been a vocal enemy of the Iranian government.
In the eight years war with Iran, Saudi government sided with Iraq and spent $25
billion in supporting Saddam Hussein. Saudi king is also the main financial source
and military ammunition supplier of the rebels fighting against the Syrian
government. Since Saudi Arabia is socially backward, with no election
or political representation, high rate of child abuse (25%) and child
endangerment (45%) according to the UN, diminutive (if any) right for women, governed
by brutal Islamic laws, and a regressive state that abolished slavery as late
as 1962, any secular society can threaten its foundation. Almost all countries
in the Middle East and North Africa have been governed by despotic rulers, and
just a few of them have traditionally had secular and more inclusive societies.
Libya, during the dictatorship of Gadhafi, was an example of a secular society,
overtaken by Islamic fundamentalists and Al-Qaida groups since late 2011. Up to
the time (the rebellion was financed by Saudi Arabia and acted upon by the US and
western countries) Libya enjoyed the highest rate of Human Development Index in
Africa, according to the UN publications. After destroying Libya, the plan for
Syria started, by the sparkle of “Arab Spring”. Syria has also had a secular
dictatorial government, with a very high rate of wealth distribution, in
comparison to other Arab countries.
Another country established after a war
(WWII) and by Western powers, is Israel. The state of Israel has been gripped with
assault, infringement, encroachment, and transgression, from inception. British
government entered Palestine in mid twentieth century in order to protect the
Jewish population against Arabs. Their forceful rules and regulations and onslaught
against Arabs in favor of the Jewish population are subjects of many
documentaries, such as Alnakba. After population of Jewish density was strong
enough to push their own agenda through, they flicked British troops out by
means of terrorism, subversion, and sabotage. The policy of encroachment, by
attacking neighboring Arab territories, and by expanding into Palestinian
properties has continued, and even increased, to this day. The method of
Israeli land grab has not changed in the past half a century. The only
difference is that, instead of forcing Palestinians into vehicles destined in
deep sea (and bulldozing their houses and building apartments for Jewish people
migrated from other countries) of early days, they attack and kill Palestinians
in their villages first, and then bulldoze their house and build new structures.
With all other Arab countries submitting to Israeli atrocities, a few countries
kept their voices heard namely Libya and Syria. That is another reason that
Israeli government is doing everything, including attacking Syrian borders, in
order to replace the government with another Al-Qaeda type fanatic regime.
Their fear of Iran acquiring nuclear power is obvious. Israel is the only state
in the Middle East that has acquired nuclear power.
Saudi Arabia and Israel, two war mongers
and provocateurs, and the two strongest US allies in the region have the same
goals about Iran and Syria. They both plan Islamization of the whole region, thus for differing reasons. For Saudi Arabia, the more theocratic and
backward the region is, the more credibility their regime, and the more chance
of establishing their own brand of Islam. For Israel, the more backward (as a
result of Islamization) the regime is, the more legitimate “The Greater Israel”
project would look. Considering that Israel is already ahead of all the
countries in the region combined in terms of technological advances (number of
Israeli winners of Nobel prize in science) and secret service know-how, fanatic
and backward countries in the region would make Israel exceptional. By
transferring the remaining regimes in the region into backward societies Libya
is today and become the only great powers in the region, they would lose their
holly alliance and would look inward in a war to become number one. Of course,
they would both be using their US made military ammunition, with Israel’s military
power much superior than Saudi Arabia’s. In that case, all one can say is “Watch Out Abdullah”!
