Ann Arbor (Informed Comment) – Henry Kissinger’s death at 100 is an opportunity to consider the ways in which his lawlessness helped undermine International Humanitarian Law, the laws of war that responsible leaders attempted to erect to prevent the horrors of WW II from recurring. In his single-minded calculation of supposed “national” interest, which he imagined as identical to the interests of the rich, he was entirely willing to mow down innocent noncombatants in the hundreds of thousands. There is a direct line from his advocacy of carpet-bombing Southeast Asian villagers to the Israeli carpet-bombing of Gaza, which resumed early Friday morning.

در آغاز لازم به یاد آوری است که بنیاد گردایی اسلامی که با خمینیسم و ولایت مطلقه فقیه، وارد فضای سیاسی جهان شد و در عرض چند سال، معادلهای سنی آن به شکل طالبان و القاعده و داعش سر بر آوردند، حال بمانند فواره ای که بعد از به نقطه اوج به نقطه شروع باز می گردد، دچار سقوط شده است.  اوج این سقوط را هم در وطن خود می بینیم و در روحانیت ارسطو زده ای که اعتبار و حیثیت اجتماعی را که در طی قرنها برای خود کسب کرده بود، در جستجوی قدرت به باد داد. اینگونه، معلوم شد که امپراطور لباس ندارد و آنچه دارد هیچ نیست جز فساد و خشونت و فریب.  اینگونه، جامعه ملی، در کلیت خود، از دین رسمی عبور کرده و باورمندان، محل دین را، نه بر سرنیزه قدرت دولت و حکومت، که در قلب خود قرار داده  و همراه دیگر باورهای دینی و غیر دینی، در ساختن جامعه ای سکولار، بر اصل «موسی به دین خود، عیسی بدین خود.»  که ریشه در فرهنگ ایرانی دارد، ایران آزاد و مستقل فردا را در باورهای خود واقعیت خواهند بخشید.  کمتر شکی است که در نتیجه این تغییر، این مدل، الهام بخش دیگر جوامع اسلامی خواهد شد و آنگاهی، ایدئولوژی ارتجاعی سازمانهایی چون حماس یا شیفت پارادایمی در باور خود را خواهد پذیرفت و یا منزوی.ا
