Israeli Government’s War Crimes – Enabled & Defended by Biden & Congress

December 8, 2023
The humiliation of the U.S. government, which is actively complicit in providing the weaponry, funding, and UN vetoes backing the Israeli government’s attack on the civilian Palestinians/Arabs in tiny Gaza, is in plain view daily. All in the name of the unasked American people and taxpayers.

December 7, 2023
In a recent article for The Nation, Dave Zirin, host of Edge of Sports, described a recent national march in support of Israel held in DC as a hate rally. This incurred the wrath of Senator Chuck Schumer, who has accused our very own Dave of anti-Semitism. Dave Zirin responds in this special edition of “Choice Words.”

Anti-Zionist Jews Lead Protests Against IDF Fundraisers

December 6, 2023
Standing up against death and destruction in Gaza represents a tradition as long as Zionism itself.

And Here’s to You, Henry Kissinger…

December 6, 2023
On the occasion of his death at 100, praises and denunciations of Henry Kissinger are being sung and spewed out in record numbers. Let me add to the “praises.” More than anyone else, Henry, along with his boss, Richard Nixon, was responsible for my transformation into an activist.

How War Criminal Kissinger paved the Way for a Genocidal Total War on Gaza’s Civilians

December 1, 2023
Ann Arbor (Informed Comment) – Henry Kissinger’s death at 100 is an opportunity to consider the ways in which his lawlessness helped undermine International Humanitarian Law, the laws of war that responsible leaders attempted to erect to prevent the horrors of WW II from recurring. In his single-minded calculation of supposed “national” interest, which he imagined as identical to the interests of the rich, he was entirely willing to mow down innocent noncombatants in the hundreds of thousands. There is a direct line from his advocacy of carpet-bombing Southeast Asian villagers to the Israeli carpet-bombing of Gaza, which resumed early Friday morning.

Hamas has won the war!

Gilbert Doctorow
November 25, 2023
This afternoon I watched the news coverage of the release of the 13 Israeli women and children hostages by Hamas and the corresponding release of 39 Palestinian women and teenagers from Israeli prisons. The BBC, CNN, Euronews:  all were factual in their presentations of what occurred.  But none tried to make any sense out of it. Let us do that now.
