a "genocide unfolding in real time" in Gaza are spoke out again this
weekend, demanding that the world finally intervene to stop the horror of mass
civilian death, starvation, and forced displacement being imposed by Israel.
Thousands turned out at a rally in
Trafalgar Square, calling for a ceasefire and an end to arming Israel on
the 19th of October 2024, Central London, United Kingdom. More than
42.000 people have been killed in Gaza by Israel, many of them women and
children, since Hamas attacked Israel Oct 7th 2023. Many carried toys

have praised the antitrust work of Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan,
the GOP’s core pitch remains simpler and more powerful: assuaging the fears of
the “American
worker” by ramping up terror against their “non-
American” peers.

With the full support of the Biden administration, Israel is waging a merciless war of extermination against the 400,000 Palestinians remaining in the northern Gaza Strip as the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly considering a plan to annex the territory. No food, water, or medicine have entered the north since October 1 as Israeli forces have conducted a campaign of intense airstrikes and ground forces have invaded and encircled much of the area.

Reject the Failed Hawkish Consensus on Iran

No matter who
wins the presidential election next month, US policy towards Iran seems likely
to remain extremely hostile and confrontational. Both campaigns seem determined
to out-hawk each other. The Iran policy debate in Washington, such as it is, is
focused entirely on the same bankrupt coercive measures of sanctions, threats,
and military action that are guaranteed to make things worse. There is no
serious discussion of reducing tensions or resuming negotiations in the new
year. The persistence of this failed hawkish consensus is dangerous for the US,
Iran, and the wider region, and it needs to end.

Israelis Burn up Refugee Tents in Central Gaza, as they Plan Ethnic Cleansing of North

Ann Arbor(Informed Comment) – One reason for which Palestinians in northern Gaza are
resisting attempts of the Israelis to expel hundreds of thousands of them
from what is left of their residences is that the center and the south of the
country are still being indiscriminately bombarded by the Israeli military.
Early on Monday morning (today), the Israeli army shelled the courtyard of
al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the Gaza Strip,
setting fire to refugee tents there. Initial reports said that 3 people were
killed and 40 injured, though observers expect the casualty toll to climb. Some
images from the scene released on social media showed patients in the courtyard
hooked up to IV drips being engulfed by flames.
Indigenous Sovereignty Is Under Attack as Supreme Court Bends Rules for Settlers

The Supreme
Court has made headlines in recent years for a variety of controversial rulings
— for gutting affirmative action, granting the president broad immunity and
overturning the constitutional right to an abortion. As the Supreme Court has
moved further to the right (and struggles with a legitimacy crisis thanks to
compounding ethics scandals), a growing portion of the U.S. population is
concerned by how much power the court has. But long before Dobbs, Citizens
United or even Bush v Gore, the Supreme Court was wreaking havoc in an area of
the law that doesn’t often make mainstream news headlines: the sovereignty of
Indigenous nations.
