It is interesting to look
at the headlines of online news organizations, that give the reader so much
information as to what is going on in the world of politics. For today, October
11,2023, these are RT’s (Russia Today) headlines:
- Decades before Snowden, this American patriot waged war against illegal surveillance in the US
- Netanyahu wants US involved in war – ex-Pentagon official
- Israel knew of Hamas attack in advance – US lawmaker
- Ex-CIA analyst '100% sure’ Hamas using US-supplied weapons
- Musk predicts ‘civil war’ in Europe
- NATO state tells citizens to pay for their flights out of Israel
- US announces more military aid for Ukraine
- Western virtue signaling goes hypersonic over Israel
- South Korea wants to expand spying on North after Hamas attack
- EU threatens Musk with ‘penalties’
It is interesting to learn
that all those articles are about war. We may think since Russia is in a war
with Ukraine, it is natural to broadcast only war news.
To get a different perspective,
we check another online news media called “Moon of Alabama”. This one seems to
be a local paper in the state and country that, apparently and as the politicians
claim, is not in a war with any other country. These are today’s headlines of
Moon of Alabama:
- U.S. Plans To Ethnically Cleanse Gaza
- Ukraine SitRep: Storming Andivka - Ukrainian Losses
These two articles are
about war also. Let’s check two other days’ news on this site:
- Israel Confesses War Crime
- Egypt Claims It Warned Israel Of Upcoming Attack
- WSJ Joins Neocons To Instigate War On Iran
- Palestine Open Thread 2023-234
- Ukraine Open Thread 2023-233
These are all about war
also! Is that because people are interested in the news of war? Or, is it
because governments operate through wars and destruction of other lands? Obviously
ordinary people like to live in peace. War is the tool of governments to keep
people preoccupied. There is much more to talk about this subject, but one can
look at the headlines of other papers to realize that all are preoccupied with
wars. Such a shame!
