- The Revolutionary Guard said it launched missile and drone attacks against the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet and a US airbase in the region in response to recent American military actions.
- According to the IRGC, the escalation followed a US missile strike on an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz that damaged the vessel’s engine room, as well as an attack on a Revolutionary Guard communications tower in southern Qeshm Island.
