SEVEN THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW THE U.S. AND ITS ALLIES DID TO IRAN

The relationship between Iran and the US has been discussed by many from many different angles. This article discusses several points, some of them visited for the first time. The conclusion the author makes is misleading. The nuclear deal was made because of the FEAR Iranian government had of the US, as the US has a large navy in the Persian Gulf, has its military present in battle posture in the east and west of Iran, and has the north controlled by NATO. In addition, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other US friends in the area are directly verbal attacking Iran. The deal was actually submission of total Iranian independence. In that case, the deal was good for both parties. The article is copied from the following link:

Homan Square revealed: how Chicago police 'disappeared' 7,000 people

We hear about the people from dictatorships all across the Middle-East suddenly missing and no one knowing of their whereabouts, not even the police. Later on, it is discovered that the person was arrested and released, or just disappeared in the hands of the police itself, or by the security apparatus. It has also been revealed that some people from countries in the Middle-East suddenly disappear, to be found sometimes later in the US prisons across the globe as terrorists. However, one thing that has never been revealed is when the U.S. citizens suddenly disappear, being taken to unmarked facilities by the US authorities, not CIA or FBI (which people tend to accept it as legitimate), but by local police. This is one of such stories. The link below is where the original article is derived from:

Presidential Election of 2016

Presidential election started earlier this time. There has already been two debates; one among Republicans and another one among Democratic candidates. Republican debate looked more like a verbal argument than a debate, and candidates made, to put it simply, a mockery of themselves. The best way to weigh the impact of their debate is to analyze the result, which put Donald Trump at the top of the table as the most popular candidate. It is interesting that conservative media tried to discredit Trump by putting his name with the less known candidates, or not mentioning his name at all (see http://2016.republican-candidates.org/ and https://www.conservativereview.com/2016-presidential-candidates for instance). The Democratic debate on the other hand, was more civil, and the only ones who were prepared and had had campaigned about their plans were Clinton and Sanders.

Homefront Casualties Of War

Casualties of wars are not limited to the nations attacked by invading forces. The nation of an aggressive government (such as the U.S. government) that ignites a war have to bear many casualties as well, but in a long term. The following article from New York Times published in September 19, 2015 is copied below. It can also be found through the following link:

When Israel/Neocons Favored Iran (Consortiumnews.com: July 28, 2015)

Exclusive: The modern history of U.S.-Israeli-Iranian relations dates back 35 years to a time of political intrigue when Israel’s Likud leaders and the Reagan administration’s neocons secretly worked to arm Iran’s radical regime, an inconvenient truth given today’s anti-Iran hysteria, writes Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

After the July 14 agreement between six world powers and Iran to tightly constrain its nuclear program, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on the U.S. Congress to overturn the deal and ratchet up the confrontation with Iran, which he calls an “existential threat” to Israel.
As part of Israel’s campaign to derail the agreement, Iran is portrayed as a reckless “rogue” regime with the madness dating back to 1979 when the Iranian revolution ousted the Shah of Iran and the U.S. Embassy in Tehran was overrun with scores of diplomatic personnel taken hostage and 52 of them held for 444 days.

این کتاب ترجمه کتابی‌ تحت عنوان Assohole no More نوشتهٔ  Xavier Crement است.

From Dr. Tiller, Baby Killer to Taste Enhancing Baby Tissue and Obama!

When the economy is down, unemployment is up, racism is up, sexism is up, conservatism is up, religious activities are up, police brutality is up, and rumors are up; but wisdom and intelligence are down. This is due to the fact that people struggle to maintain their vital necessities, which are usually hard to find. Articles in magazines such as National Lampoon or National Enquirer or People and other tabloids used to be challenged by people who were attacked. As the character of those tabloids was disclosed to everyone, people being slandered decided to just ignore them, without spending their valuable time, in addition to the high cost of fighting them in the court. That is why character defamation is usually left unresponsive. By the advent of the internet, innumerable e-papers were established, which made it even harder to follow them all and find disparaging sites. As a result more outrages articles were invented in order to attract stupid eyes and sell commercials.

July 4th Special

1. Conservatives opposed the Founding Fathers, the American Revolution and a lot of other righteous stuff as well. By definition a conservative is one who wishes to preserve and/or restore traditional values and institutions, i.e. to “conserve” the established order. No surprise then that 18th century American conservatives wanted no part of breaking away from the British Empire and the comforting bonds of monarchical government. Those anti-revolutionary conservatives were called Tories, the name still used for the conservative party in England. The Founding Fathers? As radically left-wing as they came in the 1770s. The Boston Tea Party? The "Occupy Wall Street" of its day.
Some of the other "traditional" values supported by conservatives over the course of American history have included slavery (remember that the Republican Party was on the liberal fringe in 1860), religious persecution, the subjugation of women and minorities, obstacles to immigration, voter suppression, prohibition and segregation.  Conservatives started off on the wrong side of American history, and that's where they've been ever since.

WORLD-SYSTEMS ANALYSIS

“People resist exploitation. They resist as actively as they can, as passively as they must.” ~ Immanuel Wallerstein

World-Systems Analysis was first published in 2004. The author has a 2013 publication of another book with the same subject titled: “Uncertain Worlds: World-Systems Analysis in Changing Times”. The former book is discussed here, that delves into many important and must-know topics with regards to the world-system, which has marked this book as a classic. In fact, the author touches upon so many important areas in less than hundred pages that cause a summary review turn out to be an arduous task. The book starts with the following sentence: “WORLD-SYSTEM ANALYSIS originated in the early 1970s as a new perspective on social reality,(P.1) however it stems from earlier works of scientists and philosophers: “When Laplace in the beginning of the nineteenth century wrote a book on the origins of the solar system, Napoleon, to whom he presented the book, noted that Laplace had not mentioned God once in his very thick book. Laplace replied: ‘I have no need of hypothesis, Sire’,”(P.2). Classification of World-System into a certain academic branch is the next subject discussed; stressing that whether subject of study is categorized as science or as philosophy had evolved throughout centuries: “in the late eighteenth century, there occurred what some now call the ‘divorce’ between philosophy and science,”(P.2)

MILITARY- The Prince

“It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both.” ~ Niccolò Machiavelli

“The victor will never be asked if he told the truth.” ~ Adolph Hitler
In order to survive, primitive man had to use his strength to overcome hunger and other basic needs. He fought over small rations he could find, until he realized that hunting in a group and as a team could achieve better results. Cooperation meant sharing the spoil equally. However, there were those who were not able to join the hunt and needed a share, and that was the beginning of altruism. As man evolved, so did his brain. To facilitate hunting they made tools. This, coupled with agriculture (planting seed and growing and harvesting crops) put human being one-step above animals. After many wars, leaders discovered that they could enslave prisoners of war (instead of exterminating them) and exploit slaves’ labor for their own benefits. Hence, slavery became another reason for wars, resulting subjugation of captured warriors. As societies developed into civilizations, wars became a tool for ambitious leaders in order to expand their empire and benefit toil of others. In the advent of a big empire such as Iran, Greece, or Rome, the necessity of having a regular army was envisaged. In order to recruit people into such armies, patriotism (regarding the government or the king, not necessarily the populous) was encouraged. Although the military was characterized to exist for defense of the mother nation, it has always been utilized for attacking weaker nations when opportunity arose. Ordinary people were still against wars, but they had no choice when the dictator forced them to join his army. Afterwards, in addition to nationalism, governments found separation and division (race, religion, creed, and even sexual preferences) combined with propaganda, as suitable tools to persuade people into acquiescence. When there was no enemy, it became necessary to create one.

THE BOOK OF THE DEAD

There is an obscured witty language in “The Book of the Dead” which makes shocking facts about some famous characters less shocking! In addition to the biography of some famous dead people, it contains additional knowledge about everyday things and objects which one may not be aware of, or attempt to learn. For instance, we learn about the life of the person who was first thought of farming ostrich, buffalo, and bison; or the first female doctor in England; or the real agent 007. Also, if one wants to know who introduced broccoli and cauliflower and artichokes into our dining; or who invented forks as parts of utensils; or why the name of the center of business world is “Wall Street”; or who invented gum; or who inspired classics such as “Faust” and “The Magic Flute”; can go no further than scrutinizing over this book. The book is divided into ten chapters, and each chapter is about a human character or a way of life.

A Revolution That Changed The Politics Of The World- Part 3 (By Natalie Fazeli)

“When Henry Luce penned ‘the American Century’ in February 1941, there was much to be worried about, both in the United States and in the world.”(1) David Mason is speaking of the Second World War and US economy of the early to mid-century. However, as Henry Luce foresaw, 20th century turned out to be an American Century, and what he might not have predicted that the same century ended to be as such, at least for the second half of the century. In his book, David Mason details the reasons he believes that American century had completed its course in the final years of the century and the 21st century would definitely be the demise of the US imperialism. Government after government, since the beginning of this nation, had worked hard in order for the US leadership to become a reality. “Why does a strong nation strike against a weaker one? Usually because it seeks to impose its ideology, increase its power, or gain control of valuable resources. Shifting combination of these three factors motivated the United States as it extended its global reach over the past century and more.”(2) After beginning with such introduction, Kinzer accounts for the overthrow of the governments in Hawaii, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and CIA sponsored or encouraged overthrow of the governments of Nicaragua, Honduras, Iran, Guatemala, South Vietnam, Chile, Granada, Panama, Afghanistan, and Iraq, through coups d'état and other means. Of course Libya and Syria are missing from this list, as the book predates those operations. When Tom Paine distributed his revolutionary “Common Sense” in early 1776, he advocated a separate and self-governing state for the territories with the acknowledgement of the role of the government: “Society in every state is a blessing, but Government even in its best state is but a necessary evil.”(3) Whether it is the government that becomes corrupted, due to its enormous power and wealth, or those who represent a government, can be interpreted variedly in each society. “The problem of democracy in the post-Revolutionary society was not, however, the Constitutional limitation on voting. It lay deeper, beyond the Constitution, in the division of society into rich and poor.”(4) When the rich is running the government, a class society based on wealth is the outcome. “The United States was the richest country in the world, with 5 percent of the earth’s population yet consuming 30 percent of what was produced worldwide. But only a tiny portion of the American population benefited; this richest 1 percent of the population saw its wealth increase enormously starting in the late 1970s. As a result of changes in the tax structure, by 1995 that richest 1 percent had gained over $1 trillion and now owned over 40 percent of the nation’s wealth.”(5) In order for those who are wealthy in this country to consume 25 percent more of the share of global production, a massive army and a tested tactic are needed. Every elected official in the high office, Democrat or Republican, has maintained these two important factors.

A Revolution That Changed The Politics Of The World (Part 2) by Natalie Fazeli

Iran is an ancient country with a long history. “In geological terms, the Iranian plateau is late formation. As late as the Mesozoic era, most of the land was covered by a large sea called the Sea of Tetis. This sea eventually was drained and its remainders became the Caspian and the Black Sea. The lasting effect of the Tetis has been the persistence of salt deserts in Iran and the existence of at least one highly condensed salt lake, Urumiyah. Caspian, the largest lake in the world, also has one of the highest amounts of salt in cubic meter in the world.”(1) Before the government of Iran was established in this region, there had been several other governments in various parts of today’s Iran, and beyond. “The country called Iran is only a part of the historical domain of Iranian cultural.... Historically, people of modern Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asia, western Pakistan, Caucasus, Iraq, and southern coast of the Persian Gulf have at one point or another been part of the greater Iranian cultural domain. This culture has not been necessarily centred in Iran, and thus does not; in anyway, suggest a chauvinistic or nationalistic view. It is indeed true that many times during the history of Iran and its people, the centres of Iranian culture, and even political power, have lied outside its current borders.”(2)
