Apparently, the new bill, HR158, has puzzled many Iranians. Those who are familiar with the politics of American government understand that this bill is consistent with other government policies, and they can find many other historical instances. Many Iranians, such as the author of this article, have selected the United States as the country of their citizenship, because of the democratic values this country is famous for, through mass media, movies, and international broadcasting systems. The longer one becomes accustomed to the culture of American society, the more one discovers a brand of nationalism mixed with some self-righteousness and racism that has become the fabric of the American society. Children from early school age are indoctrinated into this type of nationalism.

The terrorist campaign against American ideals is winning. Fear is rampant. Gun sales are soaring. Hate crimes are increasing. Bearded hipsters are being mistaken for Muslims. And 83 percent of voters believe a large-scale terrorist attack is likely here in the near future. Some Americans are now so afraid that they are willing to trade in the sacred beliefs that define America for some vague promises of security from the very people who are spreading the terror. “Go ahead and burn the Constitution — just don’t hurt me at the mall.” That’s how effective this terrorism is.

I’m not talking about ISIS. I’m talking about Donald Trump.

حاجی ملایری را کسانی‌ که در کسب و کار در سطح بالائی بودند بخوبی میشناختند. او نه تنها با اعتقاد کامل مذهبی‌ بود و اینرا در هر حرکت و یا هر جمله‌اش نمایان میکرد، بلکه بسیار به حرفه‌اش علاقمند بود. گر چه تجارتش را از پدرش به ارث برده بود، ولی‌ در کارش بسیار وارد بود. پدر حاجی ملایری با پدر من در ملایر زندگی میکردند و از دوران دبستان با یکدیگر رفاقتی صمیمی‌ داشتند. پدرم تا کلاس ششم در ملایر درس می‌خواند. چون به تحصیلات علاقه داشت قول داده بود که چنانچه والدینش وسایلِ تحصیلات او را فراهم میکردند، او هم در مقابل دست خواهر و برادرهای کوچکترش را که در سنین مختلف بودند میگرفت و آنها را بجائی میرساند. پدر بزرگم نخست با این کار مخالف بود، و بزرگترهای پدر بزرگ هم او را از این کار منع میکردند، بخصوص که شهر ملایر تا کلاس ششم ابتدائی بیشتر نداشت و کسی که خواستارِ تحصیلاتِ مافوقِ ابتدائی بود بالاجبار باید برای ادامهٔ تحصیلات به شهر بزرگتری میرفت. عاقبت پدرم توانست همه را قانع کند که او را نزد عمویش به تهران بفرستند. پدر بزرگم هم چند شاهی از پولهایی را که در زیر دخل ذخیره کرده بود، همراه با پنجاه نان ملایری و یک پیت روغن و یک کیسه توت خشک به پدرم داد که برای عمویش ببرد و چند صباحی تا پایانِ تحصیلات در منزل عمویش باشد.

A gunman opened fire in a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Friday, the latest in a string of attacks at the health care provider's clinics this year.

Robert Lewis Dear, 57, who surrendered to authorities after an hourslong standoff, appears to have been motivated by opposition to abortion. Abortion clinics have long been the targets of violence, including bombings, anthrax scares and mass blockades. This year alone, arsonists attacked four Planned Parenthood clinics in Washington, California, Illinois and Louisiana.

هر یک از دوازده ماه سال‌های ایرانی‌ به نام خاصی‌، عموماً مذهبی‌، نامگذاری شده‌اند. برای آنکه مفهوم این اسامی را درک کنیم، تحلیل واژهٔ هر ماه از کتاب “دانشنامه مزدیسنا” نوشتهٔ دکتر جهانگیر اوشیدری که در “شرکت نشر مرکز” در سال ۱۳۷۱ به چاپ رسیده است، در اینجا میاید. شماره‌های داخل پرانتز ()که به دنبال حرف “ص” میایند به شمارهٔ صفحاتی که مطالب مذکور از این کتاب نقل شده‌اند اشاره دارند. مطالبی که مابین دو کروشه {} میایند، اضافات گردآورنده به مطلب اصلی‌ میباشند، که عمدتاً برای توضیح واژه‌های ناآشنا از همین کتاب است. در گاهنامه پارسی‌، روزهای هر ماه نیز اسامی خود را داشتند. بدین ترتیب که، دوازده روز از هر ماه به نام دوازده ماه نامگذاری شده بودند؛ و چنانچه اسم یک روز با اسم همان ماه یکی‌ بود، آن روز جشن گرفته میشد. لازم به تذکر است که این مطالب به هیچ وجه دلیل بَر صحت گذاشتن به ارکان یا آموزه‌های دین زرتشتی نیست و نگارنده یا گردآورندهٔ این مطالب در نظر دارد که واژه‌هائی را که هر سال و به دفعات در موارد مختلف تکرار می‌کنیم، ماههای سال، بشناسیم و به ریشه‌های آنها پی ببریم. گر چه فرهنگهای دیگری برای این منظور وجود دارند، ولی‌ از نظر جامع بودن، دانشنامه مزدیسنا به نظر مناسب‌تر آمد. روزهای ماه به ترتیب زیر نامگذاری شده بودند:

 ماه در اوستا ماونگهه نامیده شده. یشت هفتم مربوط به ماه است و ماه نیایش نیز از ماه یشت نقل شده. ماه هم اسم سیارهٔ معروف است، هم اسم مدت سی‌ روز از سال، و نیز اسم روز (روز دوازدهم هر ماه) است. در خود اوستا فقط اسامی هفت ماه باقیمانده: نامهای پنج ماه که اردیبهشت، تیر، شهریور، مهر و دی باشد در بندهای ۷ تا ۱۱ آفرینگان گهنبار، اسم فروردین در یسنای ۱، بند ۱۱، و اسم اسفند در یک قطعهٔ اوستائی و جرکرت دینیک، بند ۲۱، اما در کُتبِ پهلوی و در آثارالباقیهٔ بیرونی اسامی ماهها به طور کامل ضبط شده است.

SEVEN THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW THE U.S. AND ITS ALLIES DID TO IRAN

The relationship between Iran and the US has been discussed by many from many different angles. This article discusses several points, some of them visited for the first time. The conclusion the author makes is misleading. The nuclear deal was made because of the FEAR Iranian government had of the US, as the US has a large navy in the Persian Gulf, has its military present in battle posture in the east and west of Iran, and has the north controlled by NATO. In addition, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other US friends in the area are directly verbal attacking Iran. The deal was actually submission of total Iranian independence. We hear about the people from dictatorships all across the Middle-East suddenly missing and no one knowing of their whereabouts, not even the police. Later on, it is discovered that the person was arrested and released, or just disappeared in the hands of the police itself, or by the security apparatus. It has also been revealed that some people from countries in the Middle-East suddenly disappear, to be found sometimes later in the US prisons across the globe as terrorists. However, one thing that has never been revealed is when the U.S. citizens suddenly disappear, being taken to unmarked facilities by the US authorities, not CIA or FBI (which people tend to accept it as legitimate), but by local police. Presidential Election of 2016

Presidential election started earlier this time. There has already been two debates; one among Republicans and another one among Democratic candidates. Republican debate looked more like a verbal argument than a debate, and candidates made, to put it simply, a mockery of themselves. The best way to weigh the impact of their debate is to analyze the result, which put Donald Trump at the top of the table as the most popular candidate. It is interesting that conservative media tried to discredit Trump by putting his name with the less known candidates, or not mentioning his name at all (see http://2016.republican-candidates.org/ and https://www.conservativereview.com/2016-presidential-candidates for instance). The Democratic debate on the other hand, was more civil, and the only ones who were prepared and had had campaigned about their plans were Clinton and Sanders.

Homefront Casualties Of War

Casualties of wars are not limited to the nations attacked by invading forces. The nation of an aggressive government (such as the U.S. government) that ignites a war have to bear many casualties as well, but in a long term. As part of Israel’s campaign to derail the agreement, Iran is portrayed as a reckless “rogue” regime with the madness dating back to 1979 when the Iranian revolution ousted the Shah of Iran and the U.S. Embassy in Tehran was overrun with scores of diplomatic personnel taken hostage and 52 of them held for 444 days.

بیشعوری عنوان کتابی‌ است به ترجمه محمود فرجامی که برای دومین بار در ۱۰۰۰ نسخه‌ چاپ شده است. این کتاب ترجمه کتابی‌ تحت عنوان Assohole no More نوشتهٔ  Xavier Crement است. با مقایسهٔ دو فصل از نشر انگلیسی‌ با آن دو فصل در نشر پارسی‌ می‌توان نتیجه گرفت که ترجمه آقای فرجامی وفادار به متن بوده، و تا آنجا که توانسته‌اند نکات مبهم را در زیر نویس توضیح داده، و رویهم رفته ترجمه ای  بسیار سلیس از متن اصلی‌ به دست داده‌اند. البته ترجمهٔ پاره‌ای از واژه‌ها دقیقا آنچه را که واژه انگلیسی‌ می‌رساند بیان نمیکنند؛ به عنوان نمونه می‌توان از عنوان کتاب نام برد!

 کسانی که مانند من سال ۵۷ را به یاد میاورند، تغییر مسیر جنبش مردم را نتیجه عدم آگاهی‌ و گمراه بودن روزنامه نگاران و روشنفکرانی میدانند که آنقدر افکار خود را متمرکز جاه طلبی‌های خود کرده بودند که نتوانستند در موقعیتهای خطیر چاله را از چاه تشخیص دهند، و خود نیز قربانی آن شدند. البته اینرا امروز می‌توان با قاطعیت گفت و در آن روزهای آشفته چنین ارزیابی گسترده‌ای مستلزم جهان‌بینیِ خاصی‌ بود. شاید این هشداری باشد برای مبارزین امروز. مبارزینی که در صف شما ایستاده‌اند و اکثریت ایرانیان از کلیه حرکات رژیم در محدوده مرزی ایران آگاهند و به راستی‌ پاسخ گوی آنها میباشند. رژیم در چاره اندیشی‌ کجراه‌های خود در تلاش است که در چه مقطعی چه حرکتی‌ را انجام دهد که افکار عامه را منحرف سازد، و شاید آزادی شما در زمانی‌ که عهدنامه ننگینی (که البته در موقعیت فعلی‌ یک پیروزی است، که در این مورد شرح خواهم داد) به کشورمان تحمیل شده است، در مسیر همین رد گم کردنها باشد. به قولی‌ این رژیم از ابتدا کشور ما را بارها به لبه پرتگاه برده است و زخمی برگردانده است. گر چه صیانت مردم و آزادی‌های اجتماعی و مدنی توده کشور به هیچوجه در برنامه‌های رژیم نیست، ولی‌ امنیّت عاملین رژیم در صدر اهمیت قرار دارد و هر گونه خطری که رژیم را تهدید کند آنها را بر آن میدارد که با شدت هر چه تمامتر با آن مبارزه، و یا چاره اندیشی‌ کنند. در داخل کشور می‌توان مردم را به زندان انداخت و رعب و وحشت ایجاد کرد؛ ولی‌ در خارج از کشور رژیم تنها قادر است که با سیاستهائی که اعمال میکنند خطر نابودی محتوم خود را کاهش دهند.
