مالیات در آمریکا

دولت‌های آمریکا، یعنی‌ دولت فدرال که این کشور را اداره می‌کند و دولت‌های زیر دست آن، یعنی‌ دولت‌های  شهری و استانی و فرمانداری، از کلیهٔ کسانی‌ که در این کشور درآمدی کسب می‌کنند، حتی اگر تابعیت آمریکا را نداشته باشند، مالیات می‌گیرند. علاوه بر مالیات بر درآمد، هر شخص حقوق بگیری و هر کارفرمایی که حقوق می‌دهد اجبار دارند که برای بیمه تامین اجتماعی و بیمه درمانیِ سنین بازنشستگی درصدی از رقمِ دریافتیِ شخص حقوق‌بگیر کسر و به سازمان‌های مربوطه پرداخت کنند. این دو پرداختی فقط به دولت فدرال است.ا

کسانی‌ که در آمریکا به عنوان رئیس جمهور انتخاب می‌شوند عموما یا از حزب دمکرات و یا از حزب جمهوری‌خواهان می‌باشند. ولی‌ آیا این کشور دو حزبی است؟ در تئوری خیر، ولی‌ در عمل رؤسای جمهور این کشور از سال هزار و هشتصد و شصت از یکی‌ از این دو حزب بوده‌ا‌ند. شاید همه از آن آگاه نباشند که در آمریکا بیش از چهار صد و بیست حزب ثبت نام کرده‌اند. البته بسیاری از احزاب محلی می‌باشند و فقط در ایالات خاصی‌، و به منظور انتخاب نمایندگان محلی، حضور دارند. حزب دمکرات از سال هزار و هشتصد و بیست و هشت، و حزب جمهوری‌خواه از سال هزار و هشتصد و پنجاه و چهار شروع به فعالیت کردند. احزابی چون حزب مستقل و یا حزب سبز طرفدارانی دارند ولی‌ نه آنچنان که بتوانند یک رئیس جمهور انتخاب کنند. جالب است که بدانیم که یک حزب مذهبی‌ نیز در آمریکا وجود دارد، به نام حزب همبستگی‌ (سالیداریتی).ا

The history of the Palestinians is a history of betrayal.  In the wake of World War I, Britain and France redrew the map of the Middle East to suit their own ends.  They created countries with artificial borders, which led to unrest and uprisings.  They had concluded a secret agreement during the war—the Sykes-Picot agreement—that dashed Palestinian hopes of independence.  The following year, the Balfour Declaration called for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in what was then Palestine.
