در ژوئن سال ۱۷۷۶ یکی‌ از اعضأ کنگره آمریکا لایحه ای به مجلس پیشنهاد کرد که بر اساس آن مستعمره آمریکا استقلال خود را دریافت کند. در دوم ژولای این لایحه تقدیم مجلس، و دو روز بعد تصویب شد. این روز تاریخی‌ (یعنی‌ چهارم ژولای) روز استقلال آمریکا است

Independence Day

In June of 1776, Richard H. Lee of Virginia to the Second Continental Congress proposed a resolution of independence from the Great Britain. On July 2, the resolution was brought before the congress, and two days later, on Fourth of July, a Declaration of Independence was approved by the congress. This marked Fourth of July as the Independence Day.

Government Establishment

Human being has made two greatest mistakes early in its history! First unforgivable error was creation of government institution, and electing someone as a leader who supposedly is superior to all the leader's subjects. From the conception, governments have maintained the benefits of the establishment, not minding destruction of human lives as well destruction of the environment. The second mistake was creation of religions and invention of another superior power called God. The result of such enterprise has not been any better than the first one. When these two institutions become one, such as in Europe's middle ages or in present Iran, the most vicious and blood thirsty elements of sub-human surfaces. Advancement in technology and education reduces influence of religions in societies. With the present trend, religion seems to be eliminated as a bad dream, as human being progresses. However, freedom from government establishment is not possible, as it is not plausible to go back to tribal lives, as in thousands of years ago. Therefore, it is vital to find a system that would revolutionize the government at its core.

نهاد دولت

بشر از آغاز پیدایش دو اشتباه نابخشودنی کرد! نخست تاسیس سازمانی بنام دولت، و انتخاب شخصی‌ که میپنداشت برتر از خود باشد، به نام رهبر. از آغاز پیدایش تا به امروز، چنین نهادی جز نابودی طبیعت و انسان کشی‌ خاصیت دیگری نداشته است. دومین سازمان مذهب است که بشر برای تسکین عوالم روحی‌ خود ایجاد کرد و شخصی‌ را که میپنداشت برتر از خود باشد، به نام خدا، بر صدر آن نشاند. حاصل مذهب هم چیزی جز آدمکشی و نابودی طبیعت نبوده است. زمانی که این دو سازمان یکی‌ میشوند، مثل قرون وسطای اروپا و یا دوران فعلی در ایران، خونخوارترین موجودات پدیدار میشوند. با پیشرفت علم و تکنولوژی، بنیاد مذهب کمرنگتر میشود و دیری نخواهد پایید که از این دشمن بشریت فقط اسطوره‌ای باقی‌ بماند. ولی‌ رهایی از چنگال دولت به این سادگی‌ نیست. در حقیقت برگشت به پیش از پیدایش دولت و زندگی‌ در کمون به آن صورت ابتدائی هم دیگر قابل قبول نیست. بنا براین باید دید که چگونه می‌توان نهاد دولت را از پایه، به نفع جامعه تغییر شکل داد

How can we end mullahs’ ruling?

There are different views concerning sanctions against Iran, these days. Some believe that sanctions would result in Iranian government abandoning its nuclear policies. Some others believe that sanctions would not change anything. Some suggest military options. Those who do not believe in sanctions or military actions, recommend political pressure of western countries on Iran. They discourage western powers of engaging in any kind of negotiations on the nuclear issues, and insist on the pressure to be concentrated on human rights issues and by the UN. To examine these views, following questions must be answered:• Why is it important for the western powers to stop Iran from reaching nuclear power?

چگونه می‌توان به حکومت ملاها خاتمه داد؟

این روزها نگرش های مختلفی‌ در رابطه با تحریم اقتصادی دولت ایران است. عدّه‌ای معتقد هستند که این تحریمات باعث میشود که دولت در مورد انرژی هسته‌ای کوتاه بیاید. عدهٔ دیگری بر این اعتقاد هستند که رژیم حکومتی از این تحریمات آسیبی نمیبیند چون مشکلات بوجود آمده از تحریمات را به مردم منتقل می‌کند. گروهی از این هم فراتر میروند و از حملهٔ نظامی به ایران پشتیبانی‌ میکنند. گروه مخالف تحریم اقتصادی و جنگ، چاره را فقط در فشارهای سیاسی دولتهای غربی بر ایران میبینند. این گروه، دولتهای غربی را از هر گونه مذاکره بر سر مسائل اتمی‌ با ایران منع، و خواستار فشارهای سیاسی سازمان ملل بر ایران روی مساله حقوق بشر هستند. برای بررسی این سه نگرش لازم است که به سوالات زیر پاسخ داد

روز کارگر

بیشتر از یک قرن و دو دهه از اولین روز کارگر (با حدود ۳۰۰۰۰۰ شرکت کننده) در آمریکا می‌گذرد. جالب است که سه کشور در دنیا روز دیگری را بجای اول ماه مه به عنوان روز کارگر انتخاب کردند، و یکی‌ از این کشورها آمریکا است

May Day

Over a century and two decades have passed since the very first Labor Day in the US (with about 300,000 participants), on May 1, 1886. Incidentally, there are three countries which chose a different day instead of May 1st to represent Labor Day, one of which is the US.

          Our privacy is in jeopardy! Your images are recorded in 95% of cross sections of major cities. You can receive a scanned copy of your own picture at any major retail store you shop. If your boss is not constantly on your shoulder, perhaps there is a closed captioned camera in your office! Look at some funny and interesting images on some e-mails you receive. How many of them are as a result of candid or hidden cameras without the subjects knowing about it? These are all for fun and entertainment, or we may say they are necessary and they do not harm anyone. However, have you ever received a traffic ticket in the mail that shows your pictures (front, back, and sideways) along with a ticket for the red light you crossed? Do you see how clear those pictures are?!

Fallacies

          In order to understand what a fallacy is, one must understand what an argument is. Very briefly, an argument consists of one or more premises and one conclusion. A premise is a statement (a sentence that is either true or false) that is offered in support of the claim being made, which is the conclusion (which is also a sentence that is either true or false).

Zarathustra

Due to lack sufficient documentation, the exact date of Zarathustra’s birth is not clear. After the Arab invasion, almost all the existing written words were destroyed by the invaders. Therefore, historians have to base their search on relics of the past, antiquities, and any remaining documents written afterwards. However, as of yet they have not come up with an unanimous date. Some historians relate Zarathustra’s appearance to the fourth millennium BC, but the majority of the researchers record his birth in the middle of the sixth hundred BC, and his death to have occurred in 583 BC. The place of his birth is supposed to be either in the present state of Azerbaijan (Athropaten), or in south-east of Iran. They believe that he was killed on the steps of a temple in the city of Balkh, on 583 BC.

زرتشت

به دلیل نداشتن مدارکِ کافی‌، تاریخِ دقیقِ ظهورِ زرتشت مشخص نیست. در دورهٔ اسلامی و زمانی‌ که ایران مورد حملهٔ تازیان قرار گرفت، هر چه کتاب بود سوزانده شد. بنا براین پژوهشگران با توجه به آثار تاریخی‌ و با استناد به مدارکی که سالهای بعد تاریخ نگاری شد، بررسی کرده و هنوز هم در مورد زرتشت اتفاق آرائ ندارند. بعضی معتقدند که زرتشت به چهار هزار سال پیش متعلق است، ولی‌ اکثر محققین اعتقاد دارند که زرتشت در اواسط قرن ششم پیش از میلاد به دنیا آمد و در سال 583 قبل از میلاد بر روی پله‌های معبد بلخ به قتل رسید. محّلِ تولد زرتشت به قولی‌ در آذرآبادگان فعلی‌ (اثروپاتن) و به قولی‌ دیگر در جنوب شرقی‌ ایران بوده است

Identified Flying Objects

There are stray objects in our galaxy that astronomers have identified, named, categorized, and researched; or they have hypothesized these objects’ impacts on earth or on other objects in galaxy. Since these roaming around objects, with known chemical components, are mostly recognized, I would like to call them identified flying objects. Three of the most well known of these objects are: comets, asteroids, and meteoroids.

Norooz: Festival of Life

These days, in celebration of Norooz, one notices so much commotion, as it has always been the case. Iranians living abroad plan their new year by whose house or restaurant or cabaret to attend for celebration. Those living in Iran, if young, plan how to perform Chahar Shanbeh Soori (last Tuesday night celebration before the end of the year), in order to avoid the establishment’s confrontation. Older ones are busy, as usual, in providing for the festivities. House cleaning is in order as well. Some would like to know about the origination of Norooz, especially that Norooz was recognized this year as a national Iranian holiday by the UN.

نوروز: جشن زندگی‌

این روزها به مناسبت فرا رسیدنِ نوروز، مثلِ هر سال شور و شوق زیادی به چشم خورد. ایرانیانِ خارج از کشور در فکر هستند که به کدام میهمانی یا رستوران یا کاباره بروند. ایرانیان درون مرزی اگر جوان باشند در تهیّه مقدمات چهار شنبه سوری برای مقابله با رژیم هستند. مسّن‌ترها هم طبق همیشه در تلاشِ معاش هستند، و تهیّهٔ خوراک و پوشاکِ نوروز. تمیز کردنِ خانه و محّلِ کار هم در دستورِ عمل است. بعضی‌ها هم دوست دارند بدانند نوروز از کجا آمده و تاریخچهٔ آن چیست، بخصوص که امسال در سازمان ملل نوروز به عنوان یک جشن ملّیِ ایرانی‌ ثبت شده است
